About Redoubt Systems

Redoubt Systems provides private, professionally managed communication infrastructure for organizations that value privacy, independence, and long-term control.

The service exists for groups that want their conversations to remain their own, without handing them to a commercial platform or taking on the burden of running servers themselves.

Founder and Owner

Redoubt Systems was founded by Jeff Palmgren after more than two decades building commercial software for industries where reliability is not optional.

I began my career working on small-scale point-of-sale software, then spent more than a decade building and maintaining banking systems. Today, I work on applications that support the bulk electric system. These are systems people depend on to keep businesses, communities, and daily life running.

Redoubt Systems is intentionally small. I believe organizations deserve to know who is responsible for the systems they rely on. As founder and owner, I remain directly accountable for the design, operation, and long-term direction of the service.

Why Redoubt Exists

The goal is not to build the largest communications platform. It is to build a dependable one: private infrastructure, professionally managed, funded by customers rather than advertising, data collection, or investor pressure.

Over the past decade, many organizations have become dependent on communication platforms whose priorities are shaped by scale, engagement, and enterprise sales. Redoubt exists for groups that want another option: a direct relationship with a responsible provider, clear incentives, and control over their own communications.

Redoubt Systems is part of a broader conviction: important services do not always need to be handed upward to distant corporate platforms. Sometimes the better answer is a smaller, more accountable provider with a direct relationship to the people being served.

Technical Transparency

Trust should not depend on slogans. Redoubt uses open-source communication software, end-to-end encryption, isolated customer deployments, and privacy-first hosting. The technical details are documented on our infrastructure page for customers who want to evaluate the stack directly.
